We have designed this site to be both a source of and a repository for all things concerning our Class of '59 - a complete information exchange. Let's go through the link buttons to see what we mean.
"Home" is this page, the starter and explanation page.
"Senior Roll Call" is pretty exciting. Here are all the pictures from our senior yearbook, so we all can wish we were still young. In addition, each picture is a link to an individual web page for that person. Here you can post anything you like about yourself, your grandkids, your hobbies, or links to other web pages.
"Upcoming Events" is where you'll find information on the upcoming reunion, mini-reunions, and any event centered on the Class of '59 that anyone wants to post online.
"Past Events" is where to post photos and excuses - er, explanations of what happened during that mini-reunion in Las Vegas We will also post what photos we have from previous reunions. New - Any photos and info involving more than one class member will be found here, not on the page of the sender.
"Links" will be connections to other relevant web sites - "Class of" sites that exist for classes surrounding '59, the current NCHS site, City of Naperville, etc. Send suggestions for links to the Webmaster at -

To contribute to your personal page - FAQ & Instructions
Can we create our own web page, or add stuff directly to the web site?
Nope - I have to do it. You send me what you want on your page, I put it in. If you want the techie reasons why, drop me a line. If you want the photos in a specific order, I can do that. But I have a standard layout for text fonts, caption fonts, etc. If you've set up a Facebook or other page, I can include the link on your NCHS page.
How should we send you stuff?
The least techie way is by USPS snail mail. Pick out the photos you want to use. Label the photos and write identifying captions, such as "No. 1 - Here are three generations of Domfritz's - us, our kids Donald and Daisy, grandkids Huey, Louie, and Dewey." Type your bio (no handwriting, please). Put the photos and written material in an envelope and trust it to the post office. Email me for my mailing address.
The preferred way is by email (or digital). The following instructions apply.
Text - Write up what you want to say about yourself on your computer, in .txt or .doc format.
Photos - If you have digital, great - email them to me as is. If you have actual old photos, you need to scan them into .jpg format first, which is the preferred digital format. Then write captions for each photo, with the photo file name followed by the text. Example - "all of us.jpg - Here are three generations of Domfritz's - us, our kids Donald and Daisy, grandkids Huey, Louie, and Dewey." (The file name need not bear any relationship to the text or anything else - it can be qqy56934.jpg, as long as I can put the right caption with the right photo.) You can tack them onto your bio writeup or send a separate document.
Then send me an email, with all your desired inclusions as attachments. No photo-sharing galleries, please.
How do we get old photos into digital format?
Simplest - you need a scanner, or know someone with a scanner. As far as specifics, there are too many combinations of scanners/software out there to step you through the process. Next best - I bet Kinko's, or a similar store, could do it.
Notes on the 2009 50th Reunion
I think most of us had a great time - I know I did (in spite of being called up front on Sat. night). Getting that great time into this website will take a while.
First, I'm going to post all of the questionnaire responses on the site. A copy of the questions will be on the reunion page for reference, but the responses will be found on the person's individual page. I was able to get some of the responses in digital format, but many of them have to be scanned in from the handout.
I am receiving photos on a regular basis. I will try to incorporate all of them eventually, but as long as I keep getting them in before I've completed updating these pages, I'll keep adding them in before I publish the updates. (Did you follow that?)
Bottom line - don't look for Reunion 2009 stuff to appear real soon, because I'm not gonna do anything until I do it all. Thanks for your patience.
