2. How many grandchildren do you have? Great-grandchildren? None
3. Are you working or retired? Working part time
4. Have you accomplished something you never thought you would? I paid off my house in 2002
5. Are there any athletic accomplishments you can tell us about? Not really
6. If you are a traveler, do you have a favorite place or experience to tell us about? n/a
7. Have you been published, recorded, exhibited? Do you know someone famous? Nope
8. Can you still sing the NCHS alma mater? Remember any cheers? No
9. Are you a war veteran? n/a
10. Do you volunteer or have pet "causes" that are important to you? Protecting animals
11. What is your definition of happiness? To enjoy each day as it comes
12. When you look back on your Naperville years, what words come to mind? Happiness and comfort
13. What is your hidden talent? I write poetry
14. How would you title your autobiography? Since I am not having any grandchildren, it would be, "I Should Have Had Puppies".
15. Have you turned out just like your Mom or Dad? Both - I am chatty like my Dad and feed the birds and critters like my Mom
16. Do you have a proverb, quote, philosophy of life you would like to share with your classmates? Today is the present. It is a gift - open it and enjoy life.
17. If you have "stayed local", how many years have you lived in Naperville? Is anyone living in the family house? Have not stayed local and my parents house is gone - there is a huge
home on the old property.

I. What is your favorite memory of Naperville? That you could play outside and feel safe
2. What Naperville store would you like to visit again? The Tasty Bakery
3. What high school teacher was memorable or influential to you? Mr. Smith and his history class
4. Is there a prank or joke of high school vintage that still makes you chuckle? Sneaking into the beach late one night and that is all I will say.
5. If you could relive one hour of high school, what one would it be? Graduation
6. Who had the cool cars? Betty Kam Chaplin's husband, Bob
7. Are there any "fashion statements" that you remember? That girls could not wear slacks to school.
8. Where was your favorite place to eat during those years? The soda shop
9. What did you do on Sundays? My Mom always cooked a big Sunday dinner
10. Do you remember any particular cafeteria meal? Not really
11. What was your favorite movie/song/musical group from that time? Rebel Without a Cause
12. What do you remember about graduation? That it was over too soon

14. What was your first job? Working at Dave's Flower Shop

17. What famous people did you admire at that time? I loved James Dean the actor
18. Was there anything or anybody in Naperville that scared you? Don't think so
19. Any special memories from activities such as sports, dances, clubs, etc.? Our Senior Ditch Day when we drove to the Indiana Sand Dunes only to find out that we had all been suspended from school and Sue Eller's dad saved us so we did not get double "O's' in each class.
20. For those of you who attended elementary school in town, is there anything you would like to share from those years? No
21. Growing up in Naperville in the summer -how did you spend your time? Playing outside with the neighborhood kids — baseball, roller skating, going to the beach. Life was simple then.
