Personal
1. We'll be traveling from Southern California, approximately 1800 miles.
2. 1 have 13 grandchildren (that I'll admit too) and 2 great grandchildren
3. Retired as of June, 2007
4. 1 was beginning to wonder if I could ever retire.
5. Athletic accomplishments include breathing and being ambulatory.
6. Carolyn and I have just completed a summer long road trip across country.
7. Never been published and the only famous person I know is Tom Eble
8. Can't sing at all without a little liquid refreshment
9. Did my four years in the USAF
10.1 do a little volunteer work helping seniors with their taxes
11. Keeping life simple and deciding between Red or White for dinner as the days biggest decision
12. Looking back, the words that come to mind are: security, fun, challenging and foundation
13. My hidden talent is Astrophysics and I'm still lookin for it
14. My autobiography might be titled "The Glass Half Full". I still try to find the bright side of every situation.
15.1 probably resemble my Mom more than anything; old, grey, sweet disposition, eats Werthers candies.
16. The one proverb that has helped me the most in dealing with lifes trials and tribulations is "Shit Happens".
17. Haven't lived in Naperville since 1960 and am just amazed every time I come back. I still have sisters and Mom living here.
Memories
1. Favorite memory... I have a lot of them but I think the memories of Harold White and Russ Mowry are my favorites. They were both very instrumental in supporting the Air Explorer program that many of us participated in. We rebuilt an old Piper J3 and got flying lessons that none of us would have done otherwise.
2. The store I would like to visit again would be the drug store on the corner of Washington and Jefferson where we got chocolate phosphates at the soda counter.
3. The most influential teacher for me was Mrs. Warnell(sp?). She really made English and Literature fun.

5. 1 would relive graduation!!
6. Doug Hastert had a cool car and don't forget Jack's always clean, always shiny one.

14. First job was detasseling corn during the summer. (What the hell did we do that for? They don't do it today.)

18. 1 was always scared of falling out of Barry Groves Buick convertible because he always drove with "no fear"
19. I'll always remember Mr. Morgans dance classes at the YMCA

21. Every summer was The Beach and baseball with Jim vermaat, Tom Klingbeil, Kenny Hatch, Jack Haidu, etc
