I am retired and live in Peoria, IL, with my wife, Sandra, and son, Dominic, who is currently a college student.
After graduation from high school, I enlisted in the air force for four years. That was one of the best decisions that I ever made --- my air force years were good years. After being honorably discharged in 1963, I went to St. Procopius College (now known as Benedictine University) in Lisle. I received a B.A. degree in 1967, and then went to law school at the University of Notre Dame. After receiving a J. D. degree from Notre Dame, I worked in law enforcement, in various positions, for ten plus years: Asst. State's Atty. of Peoria County,IL; Legal Advisor to the Peoria Police Department; Asst. State's Atty. of Tazewell County, IL; and Chief Asst. Stare's Atty. of Tazewell County, IL.
In 1981, two big events occurred in my life. I married my wife, Sandra Bach, and became a judge of the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Illinois (Peoria/Pekin area). Our son, Dominic, was born in 1985, and has been the joy of our lives. I served on the bench for twenty-two plus years before retiring. I have been very fortunate in my life.
Good health and best wishes to the members of the class of 1959 and their families.
