Cookie Roth Gardner

Hello Class of ’59 and greetings from California, the land of sunshine and fires.

I retired July 17, 2009…after 45 years of reading pap smears. Enough is enough.

If I did an autobiography, it would be titled “I’ve Always Prayed for Boredom.”

I haven’t turned out like my mom and dad…I’m too lazy.

I have two favorite sayings…getting old is not for the faint of heart, and I’ve always wanted to be a pirate…so…the beatings will continue until morale improves!

My favorite memory of Naperville was our farm on Greene Road.

Elvis was one of my favorites, and his song – “Don’t Be Cruel.”

What I remember about graduation was I had a terrible sun burn, I wore too much makeup, and Mary Flanders’ slumber party.

Looking forward to seeing everyone who has the intestinal fortitude to attend.
