Well, we finally have some details to share about out upcoming celebration.
The festivities will take place in the Naperville area from Friday, September 25, thru Sunday, September 27, 2009.
Friday nite - pizza party and get-together near the VFW at the pavilion by the river.
Saturday nite - Barbeque at the home of Phyllis and Jack Weissenborn in Oswego. We will have catering by Fay's BBQ including chicken, pork chops, and all the fixins that go with.
Sunday morning - Brunch at the base hotel
I hope this sounds good to you as we are trying to put together a relaxing weekend with lots of time for friendship and sharing.
The base hotel will be the Country Inn and Suites, 1837 Centre Point Circle, Naperville. This is the same location we used five years ago but it has changed names. You can find pictures and other data on the internet at http://www.countryinns.com/hotels/ilnapcty. They are 100% smoke-free and have a pool, fitness center, lounge/bar, high speed internet, and a complementary hot breakfast buffet. Thanks to Sue Eller Oelman for making the arrangements.
To make a reservation, phone 1.800.201.1746 or 1.630.505.3353. You MUST mention Naperville Community High School to get the best rate which is $85.00 per night. To get that rate, reservations must be made by 9/4/09 and, of course, everyone is responsible for their own charges.

At the 50th reunion the weekend of Sept. 25-27, 2009, you will receive a CD showing the history of our class from birth to date! Barb Goodin Struwing and her daughter are taking on this formidable task and really need your help. They will insert your pictures and stories - only if you send them in!!! JULY 1, 2009 DEADLINE
Take some time and find pictures of your past as well as present. Pictures from grade school, high school, current family, memorable activities, etc. are all good sources for the CD. The committee has seen a CD Barb and her daughter made and it was really great. They will overlay words to make the pictures meaningful to all of us so be sure to include some details about the pictures. They will accept electronic copies as well as paper copies which they can scan.
